I am aware of the fact that the wind update function in the FMC is not active, but that wind data can be input manually. This is OK for a short-haul flight, or even a medium-haul flight, but this is an arduous exercise for a long-haul where there can be as many as a couple of hundred waypoints.
However, there is a potential fix to this; Active Sky generates a route weather text file for each route, it just needs, therefore, for an application to transfer this data into the FMC. Is there such an application available, and if not, is there someone out there who is clever enough to write one?
Perhaps CS could write one and incorporate it into the 'ace' application, in a future (but not too distant a future) update.
