I purchased the C130H through the MSFS marketplace, but bought the C130J direct from Captain Sim, as it wasn't available in the marketplace at time of purchase.  As a result, the C-130H is available in both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020, but the C-130J is only available in MSFS 2020. Not sure if the C130H had any updates for 2024, or if it is just native 2020, but it worked without issue in MSFS 2024 in the brief testing I did.  What is going to happen to my C130J purchase in relation to 2024?

As for now, we are working on the FS20>FS24 add-on transfer procedure, so all further CS products updates release for both platforms are pending untill we figure out the procedure. We'll keep you posted.

The above applies to the marketpace/Xbox updates as well.

I have been updating my liveries for the C-130H.  In order to get 2024 to group liveries with the C130H base aircraft you need to exactly match the ui_type and UI-createdby fields to those used by the source aircraft in the aircraft.cfg.  Then to have it sort liveries after the Captain Sim default livery, you also have to match the value used in the ui_manufacturer field. without this field match addon liveries sort before the default livery.  Usually I can work this out from the aircraft selection screen, but haven't been able to do this for the C-130H.  Can you advise what value you use for the marketplace version of the C-130H for the ui_manufacturer field please?

Have found with other aircraft that the ui-manufacturer is not the sorting field I had thought, as some sort correctly and others don't.  So am not sure what triggers the livery sorting now.

I’ve been flying the C130H on FS24 and I was wondering can you guys tone down the markings on the cockpit windows as they have unrealistic heavy scratches on them and are a real distraction and immersion breaker.

I've tried to fly the C130J in MSFS but engines wont start for me cold and dark?

Yesterday in 2020, I removed my 717 from Community, and then I repurchased it on the Marketplace with some Captain Sim liveries for my 717 and my C-130's.  I wanted to have all my CS purchases in one convenient place. 
However, now none of the instruments in the c-130's function, and my 717 has errors on the MFD's when I start in 2020 on the runway. 
steps to repair?  Delete the Marketplace versions and go back to the CS installers?  Reinstall the Marketplace versions?

Just an update on my issue.  Uninstalling the CS 717 did not remove the old 717 community folder.  This may have impacted my Marketplace installs.  I seem to have working instruments in the C-130J (quick 2d test).  I'll kick the tires on the whole fleet today.

Yes, also experiencing gauge issues in 2024 with the "H".  I purchased it through Marketplace and it was one of the first Microsoft transferred to 2024 for me.  I haven't notice any other issues yet.

I do not have the new sounds in 2024, just the old ones.

I should clarify, I have the old boaty sounds in the J and H.  I have the new sounds in the E.  I had purchased some liveries for the E just before I installed 2024; that could explain it. 
I have some instruments working, but they seem to stop working after awhile. 

Just flew the KC-777 in MSFS2024.  It worked great until the sim bug where the mouse stops responding.  Esc out to the menu, Esc back into the flight, the mouse is now responding, but the throttle moves without adjusting thrust.  I toggle Autothrottle ON, then OFF (I'm hand flying), and the throttle responds again.  Otherwise normal flight in the KC-777.  I'll check the KC-46 next.

The KC-46 experienced the same mouse bug.  It seems like a timeout of some kind, if you don't touch the mouse controls for a certain time, the mouse goes away, and the thrust locks.  Same solution, Esc out, Esc in, toggle auth-throttle, all good.  Callouts, beta, all working.

Enjoying the C-130H for the most part, but I'm also having the startup issue from cold/dark in 2024. The APU doesn't function properly, the lights don't light to show it started up. I can start the engines, but the lights on the starters don't operate correctly either. And the engines don't respond to throttle. Everything works fine in 2020. If I spawn the aircraft onto the runway, so that it's already up and running, everything functions perfectly.

I hope the developers can make whatever tweaks are necessary to make the C-130 fully 2024 compatible. I keep looking to see if there is something I'm overlooking but can't find anything I'm doing wrong. If anyone else has had success starting it cold/dark in 2024, please let me know what you are doing different from 2020. I also notice some of the lights below where you turn on the beacon and wing edge lights are not lit the way they are in 2020.

The C-130 does not operate entirely within 2024. APU does not start up correctly and can't start engines.

However, you can spawn in at an airport with the plane already running and everything will function fine. If you want to taxi out, I would recommend starting on the runway and then use GSX Pro to warp the aircraft to a parking space already running. It's not quite as much fun as starting cold and dark, but it will let you at least use the aircraft until the necessary update from Captain Sim to make it fully compatible with 2024.

I see a 2024 version of the C-130J in Marketplace but couldn't find anything about it on the sales page here.  It appears to be a separate offering from the 2020 Marketplace version which did come over into 2024.  Just wondering what the differences are?  Also, will there eventually be an upgrade option via Marketplace for the 2020 owners?  Thanks.

The C-130J FS24 is a native FS24 build of the C-130 sources which were updated accourding to the FS24 SDK.
The key difference of FS24 product is its structure which is quite different between FS20 and FS24.
As for upgrade options, we are not planning any upgrades/support of the FS20>24 portovers as we do not see sufficient grounds for creation of a new group of mutant products which are somewhere inbetween FS20 and FS24.

For now we are not sure if the C-130 for FS24 will be available in the CS store. First we'd like to see how the FS24 marketplace works.

The C-130J is already available in FS24 marketplace.
Pricewise yes, C-130 for FS20 and FS24 are separate products, same as the FS20 and FS24 simulators itselves.

Already on msfs 2020 I did not appreciate their policy of care bears concerning the management of armament for military aircraft but, today, the management of the marketplace under msfs 2024 is at best incomprehensible, and presents an absurd mechanism with an unacceptable slowness of availability of updates  >:(

I feel you, the FS20 marketplace is far from perfect, the FS24 marketplace is still under construction. We'll see how it works when it's done.

I purchased a livery pack for the C-130E from Marketplace (the one with the extra Canadian livery) and it now shows up in 2024 but marked as "unavailable".  Will that change or are the 2020 livery packs going to be permanently unavailable in 2024?

We are still working on the FS24 livery packs concept/workflow, but it's unlikely that the FS20 livery packs will be FS24 compatible due to the format and structure differences.

I just purchased for 2024, but am stuck outside....how do I get into the cockpit?  Shift + C isn't working.

What is the keyboard shortcut for switching the camera between Cockpit/External View Mode?
