He's already said they would be available in the market. Microsoft doesn't allow free items to be posted. So there's your answer. I'm hoping he posts some to the market place for the ones who like doing it that way and gives us a paint kit, that would be the ultimate handshake.

Valid point, releasing a paint kit would sure be a nice gesture for the community and also boost sales.

To have a different livery I backed up three or four of the USAF texture files and replaced them with my USN files. I made no changes to the aircraft.cfg file. Result is I have still only one livery (USN) but in the hangar livery choice it still reads as the USAF. You can swap out livery files from any of the free H-130 liveries, but you will still only have the one choice in the hangar. If you change anything in the aircraft.cfg you will have "blackl".

I'm looking forward to them as well, to at least see how they managed the files, since CaptSim has not responded to the masses about a paintkit...yet. ;)

Sad that we not have the Liveries Pack for C130 on CS store like many other liveries packs that exist there.
Releasing on CS store have the advantage of bigger profit for CS (no need to pay fees to MS) and also the release is instant (no need to wait weeks for approval).
Infact you can have in both places like many other addons.

RAAF would be nice.

The secret sauce of putting a name based mesh on your model to lock it out aye.....just can't help fixing that rep cs....such a good foot forward only to knock off your own foot.

i see lp1 is out and to my suprise the Dutch C130 i requested is incudet.

i know there is a lot to do about liverys not for free,i dont mind to pay a little bit for my favorite livery and so i did

But captain simt if you ask money for y,oure livery,s bu sure that they are correct,the dutch C130 has no black nose but a grey one,in other words pay more attention if you let people pay

A very stupid move since anyway, they won't be able to accomodate ALL livery requests by everybody.
Many developers release their own livery packs, but don't prevent others from painting their own liveries.

I still remember the good old days were you would download C-130 repaints done by the community from the CS website.

This C-130 has a lot of potential to become a fair succesor for the FS9/FSX C-130 Xperince, but not without Captain Sim be willing to work on it.

Unblocking the liveries would be a good start.

You are absolutely right, you can have both. There's absolutely no reason other than having a monopoly over everything they sell, and squeezing every dollar from every product. It's just that simple... you don't see any other dev doing this, because they're worth more than $5 livery packs each week. another company only sell packs on there because thats how the marketplace works, if it were up to them if they could they'd be free. And of course they offer a paintkit free to use and free of charge.

Yes, i would like to see that LP1 fixed before buying it. Its sad that one of the more costy livery pack (others have more liveries and less cost) have a big mistake like that.

The Austrian Air Force still uses the C-130 with the classic cockpit in real life. Only a few gauges, like the engine gauges were being retrofitted.

Also the pilots use a portable EFB. The only difference is, that the Austrian Air Force is also using an FMS instead of radio navigation, but that doesn't matter.  :)

Would be nice to see the 8T-CB as a livery for the CS C-130 in MSFS.

I’m and Xbox user and I think 3 liveries for 5 dollars is overpriced unless they are liveries that everyone wants to see. The marketplace is the only way to get liveries right now and I would love to see a Fat Albert Livery, a Coast Guard Livery, and a us Navy livery. This would be a high selling pack and I don’t understand why this wasn’t the first pick. 😂

Just picked the new C-130 through Marketplace and am delighted to have a C-130 again.  Really enjoyed the previous version in FSX and am looking forward to the release of the update through Marketplace.

Would love to see a special pack of a fleet of USCG (US Coast Guard) liveries covering a variety of bases like Barbers Point, Kodiak, Elizabeth City, etc etc.

Since I cant raise a new topic, and since this topic is about C-130 updates, can you also include a rework of the upper and lower wing roundals on the Royal New Zealand Air Force Livery.
The correct placement is that these specific roundals should all face with their heads to the front, their tails to the tail and their legs and feet pointing to the wing root/fuselage. Couldn't find a C-130 image that showed the wing but this attached B757 image is the correct orientation.

I have your liveries pack containing 3C130H of the RAAF with the farewell scheme and have noticed the kangaroos on the wings are facing the wrong way. May I request they be updated to face the correct way. On all RAAF aircraft the kangaroos always face foreword with the feet closest to the fuselage.

I would also like to see it updated with a wrap around camouflaged scheme from the 1990s as was used for the peace enforcement deployment into Temor lest in 1999.

Would appreciate Canadian liveries for the "H" and "J" models - either freeware or as part of a Marketplace livery pack.

There is a nice freeware Canadian livery for the "H" but, unfortunately, it actually uses the serial number of a "J" model. I tried retrofitting that to the J put the prop hubs and spinners come out wrong (understandably).

Canadian H serials 130329-139344 (all variations including stretched and tankers) and J serials 130601-130617 according to T.F.J. Leversedge's book (Kestrel Publications).
