I need some help with installing the 717.

I cannot install the 717. Even stopping Windows Defender, re-downloading the .exe file, using administrator privilegues or restarting the computer helps.

I have never had any problems with previous purchases.
after double clicking the .exe file I get no response, not even a pop-up or error window. Just no response from the PC.

Did you try to install 777 Captain III? Is it ok?

I decided to purchase the CS717 and livery package today, and tried to install them using the directions given.  Unfortunately, I'm encountering the same issue: the installation of both packages appears successful, but neither show up in my Community folder or sim. Initially, I tried installing into the main MSFS2020 path, and selected "Microsoft Store" as the source of my sim (which is where I purchased it).  That didn't work, so I tried using Community as the path, and that didn't show anything either. Finally, I changed the source to "other", and yet the same result.

Is there anything else I can try in order for the aircraft to appear in my library?  As a note: no error messages appeared in any of my attempts, leading me to believe that it was installed.

If a path is entered there like in my screenshot, please do not change it or look for a path yourself. everything should happen automatically

My apologies: I had to take a shot with my phone, as I’m not sure where the picture goes when I press “print screen” haha. In any event, this shows the path to my Community folder where the airplane should be installed.

I did each time. I got a message that the captainsim installer was already running, so I clicked ok, and it brought me to the “finished” button. I would click it and assumed that the installation was successful. But having checked my community folder, there’s still no sign of the 717.

I do have a few other CS products, but they were all purchased/installed in the sim via the marketplace, and I haven’t had any issues there.

Having checked again, this is a section of my Community folder after the installation process shown above. I have a notion that perhaps the antivirus software might play a part. I will contact our IT service to check on that. Hopefully that’s the case, because otherwise I think I’ve tried everything I can to no avail.

I see captainsim-aircraft-m763-DAL_4D. Does it work?
If so, where is the captainsim-aircraft-m763 folder?

Good morning!  Yes, all other CS products work on my computer. However, all other CS products were purchased/installed via the marketplace in the sim itself. The 717 was the only product I purchased from Captainsim's website.  That said, I have an update: our IT switched me over to Admin and at least one of the installers I've had issues with is now working (so I was able to install the FSS E170/175 series).  I'm about to retry the 717+liveries momentarily.

Also, the location of the other CS products are in the Official\OneStore folder, not Community.  Perhaps I should try installing the 717 there instead of Community?

Positive update!  After being switched to Admin, both the base pack and livery pack were successfully installed, and are showing up in both my Community folder as well as my library!  Thanks again for your support, everyone. Cheers!
