There was a message in the B777 forum saying:
"Captains,
It appears that some of you are not aware of ACE existance and/or purpose.

The ACE (stands for Aircraft Configuration Editor) is a free utility that helps you with CS products."

I am well aware of ACE and used it for my liveries for instance.
BUT today I needed it to configure a flight, wanted to change lbs to kg, add passengers and cargo and SAVE it.
Unfortunately there was no button to be found anywhere to SAVE my changes   >:(

Please help me to find a way to save those settings and use them for the next flight.

That's because you don't change them using ACE for the L-1011. Go to the Fuel and Payload Manager to use KG/LB:

Menu > Add-Ons > CS 1011 Captain II > Fuel and Payload Manager

While you can use either KG, or LB, weights when using the Fuel and Payload Manager, I'm not sure how that affects the display in the INS. I assume that setting the flight sim to Metric helps you to see the metric values on the INS, and other instruments.

I found it now and all works as it should....

However, my question was based on the included tutorial where on page 2 Tom Beckett refers to the ACE for those settings (see pic attached).
That tutorial was written in 2014 and never updated to incorporate changes done in later versions.

Your attached image is about the ACE for the 1011 Captain (FSX/SE/P3D3), not for the 1011 Captain II (P3D4/5). I have attached an image showing the difference between the ACE for both products, and as you will see, there is no PREFLIGHT tab for the 1011 Captain II ACE where you can change the setting between KG and LB.

So is your problem with the ACE for 1011 Captain, or the 1011 Captain II?
