Hello,
Earlier I was landing into LMML (Malta) for ILS RWY14, I set the frequency to 109.70 which was cross checked on both the chart and the FMC telling me it was that freq.
Upon turning onto final, I pressed the APP button to which the aircraft ignore instead automatically set itself to VOR/LOC button. Anytime I tried to switch on APP, it would just increase the managed IAS by 5 knts and stay on VOR/LOC.
Although; it did act as if it was on the ILS and had bugged out? You can see below in the photo:
1. G/S and VOR/LOC on the FMA
2. VOR/LOC engaged on the MCP but wouldn't allow me to press APP
3. Plane descended down on G/S & VOR/LOC as you would expect on the ILS.
