Title: Altitude alert above FL100
Post by Abcdeflijus on Jan 22nd, 2021 at 3:01pm
Hello Captains,

I started to experience strange thing with 737-200.
For example I was assigned by ATC to climb and maintain 5000 after take of. Later on it clears me for FL230, so I adjust my altitude alert for that and start climbing. But after 10000 ft. I keep getting continuous altitude alert buzzer. If I drop it down to below 10000 and reset back to FL230 it stops. I couldn't find anything in the manuals about it. Is this some king of bug I am experiencing, or I am doing something wrong with climb configuration?  ::)
Anyone else has experience the same symptoms?

Regards, Viktor.

It might be the cabin air pressure warning that you're hearing (the warning horn starts when you reach 10,000ft). Make sure the Engine Start Switches are in the OFF position.

Yes Markoz, you were right.
That sound is cabin pressurization. But that was not engine switches not in off position, it was A/C pack switches left off, after engine start. Sometimes I am skipping some check lists and here we have consequences  ::)
