Title: Simicon panel issue
Post by Aleksander_B on Jan 20th, 2021 at 8:28pm
Hi all,

Installed and was eager to learn to fly this great aircraft. But for some reason I can't get the simicon panel to show.

I tried all variations of shift+2/3/4 and so on, no response.

I use P3dv5 with Chaseplane.

Can anybody please help me?  :)

I also use FSUIPC.
Is there a cfg where I can remap the key combination to bring up the 2D menus?

Followed the guide to the letter. After a fresh re-install of the models, with Windows defender and real-time protection turned off, the Shift+2 does not respond.
Everything else works perfectly. Opening the doors with Shift+E works, just to confirm that there is no fault to the "shift" key.

What to do?  :-/

What to do?

Plan A: Check your sim shortcuts mapping.
Plan B: Use P3D menu>Vehicle>Inst panels to call the simicons.

Fantastic.

Plan B worked. (Should have seen this myself if I was'nt so bent up about the shift+X combination).

The sim shortcut mappings were blank, as shift+2 is not bound to anything at the moment. What should shift+2 be bound to in the key assignments?

Set it to Panel window 2 (hide/display)

Panel window 1 (hide/display) = Shift+1
Panel window 2 (hide/display) = Shift+2
Panel window 3 (hide/display) = Shift+3
...
Panel window 9 (hide/display) = Shift+9

Note. They're easier/faster to find if you set the filter to "Views"
