Title: Few technical questions
Post by Keirtt on Apr 27th, 2020 at 11:19pm
I've had the chance to play with it for about an hour now and had a few questions.

-There don't seem to be any touchdown sounds when my gear hits the ground. Is this a bug or something that'll be included in an update?

-Are there plans to include any wing flex? I don't see any currently.

-When looking at an exterior view I noticed the frames seem to take a hit over the wing. I'm running a 9900k 5GHz with a 2080ti. Surprised it seems to hit that hard. Thoughts?

I second the exterior FPS.  Inside the flight deck I run consistently in the 30s.  Outside I drop to a solid 9-10, it doesn't matter where around the plane I am it is consistent.  I found that out from setting up a basic ChasePlane profile.  My stats aren't as stellar as the OP, but externally I'm never that low.  Even the 757 runs in the 30FPS outside.

I have similar specs; 9900K @5G and a 2080TI.  Using FSDT PHTO at gate 3 I am seeing external frame rates from a low of 35 up to 60 fps.

So far very impressive!

I hear them on the flights I've done

I see the wing flex when in the exterior (Fixed Spot) view.

I get good frame rates. ~30 in the the VC, and even higher when in the exterior view.

4K Ultra-HD textures. Some systems with limited video won't like them.
If we get enough request we'd make a light 2K set.

There rest is there and should work.

Please see video here. This video is from a landing into Richmond this evening. There is no sound from the gear striking the ground.

I'll put in for a 2k request.  4k looks great but is a frame rate killer for me, so something toned down to keep things running would be awesome!
