Title: Suggestion for older aircraft. Post by Caribflyer on Mar 31st, 2017 at 3:20pm
Well I'm sure that many of you enjoy operating the Flight Engineer panel on the 727,707 and L1011. However I was wondering if Captain Sim can consider having a Virtual Flight Engineer option that allows automatic control of the fuel management and other aspects of the Flight Engineer station. If this can't be added to the current products, perhaps this can be added in future products? I'm still hoping that Captain Sim does the DC-8 or DC-10 series! ;D

My suggestion is the DC-4 or the DC-7. The JBK DC-4 doesn't work properly in P3D and this is one of my favorite "Oldtimers" :) Take a look at the movie "The high and the mighty" - there it is a DC-4 that plays a main role.
And for the DC-7 there doesn't exists a reasonable implementation for our favorite sim (FSX/P3D). |

You need to look at what Flight Replicas have done with DC-4/C-54, simply a work of art, to be released soon.
I would not hold your breath for anybody to do a DC-7, to few users when the built it originally and little interest in the sim world either. As for Captain Sim they have done the best jets about and that is some benchmark for everybody else. |

I'd like a DC-8. I looked at Justflights... but from what I can gather it has an FMC, plus other modern things. It really ruins the immersion. I'd love to see a CS one with old instruments and procedures and the like.
I'd also like to see some of the classic prop planes. I'd love to watch a good DC-6 go from Italy to New York. Mimic my dads first trip to the states. |

Believe Captain Sim makes Retro' Jetliners , NOT Props, that would be for developers like Aeroplane Heaven.
as far as the next Retro Jetliner by Captain Sim, I'd like to see made with full passenger cabin, would be these : CONVAIR 880 CONVAIR 990 Lockheed Jetstar and I'd like to see the Captain Sim L-1011 updated with full passenger cabin too ! Thank You - De' Jetranger |

I would love Captain Sim to do the 747-100/200, or the DC-10. They're on the top of my wish list for Captain Sim. ;D

DC-8 and DC-10 would be really nice! Also an early 747 (-100,-200) would be awsome!

My vote is for a DC-10. nobody has done that aircraft justice yet.

747 Classic or DC-10.
However at this rate I'm not even sure if there will ever be another Captainsim product. |

I'm guessing that the next Captain Sim aircraft, whatever it is, has been delayed due to them deciding to update their P3D aircraft for P3Dv4 first. ;) |

I'd also love to see the 747 classics (100 to 300) even the SP, but the DC-10 deserves a highly detailed model. There're so many variants of this aircraft including the KC-10 Extender. There's no other developer that can do this aircraft justice in my book.

You know you are an old simmer when you see how simmers taste change and you realize they are from a new generation.
Back in Fs98 and Fs2000 fs2002 so many downloads of addon aircraft today nobody mentions. Also new simmers seem to be disinformed when asking for new releases. May I remind you fellas that there is already a payware DC8 from a main developper so no need to Captainsim tackle a repetition. The Caravelle is the only classic jet still to be addressed. Those who know something about aviation (and are not americans since americans never knew what was popular in the rest of the world) know the Caravelle is regarded as maybe the most esthetic and slick twin jet in history, being popular in major routes in Europe, south america, africa and asia. Out of the tail twin jets, its certainly slicker than the BAC111 and the ugly DC9. The Caravelle has the same admired cone nose from the Comet and the latest 787, a format that can only be replicated by computer, drawing it by hand extremely difficult, try it. Plus the big unique triangular windows. I flew the Caravelle as a kid and it recalls my happiest moments in life. Its true the DC10 and 747-200 hasnt got a decent payware either (CLS), but please when making your wish for a new release dont suggest planes that are already developped and marketed. Did you know that there is not even a freeware Caravelle with virtual cockpit? |
