Title: Request: Air America Post by Vampire on Dec 19th, 2014 at 9:31am
Good day,
I've got a question or request. I know that there was a repaint for the C-130 for Air America made by Nathan. After my computer crash, I've lost that one. Can some one help me to get this repaint again ::) Thanks a lot. Greets, Vampire |

On page 9 at the Free Liveries on the CS-Site there are several AA-Repaints available.
I hope you haven't lost your order-nr. ;) EDIT: Hmm, I've tried to download some of them, but the source-site isn't available any more :( |

Nathan's web site is no longer available. The best you can hope for is that someone can send you a copy of the one they have. :(
It because of this, that I wish repainters would upload the repaints to the popular places like Avsim, FlightSim.com, etc. |

Mark,
I cannot start a new post (I guess because of lack of posts), so will give it a shot here in hopes you see this. Can C-130 be installed on a Client Computer and still inject the C-130 into the FSX Server? Trying to minimize items on the main FSX computer. RodeoGeorge |

That's correct. RodeoGeorge wrote on Dec 23rd, 2014 at 6:53pm:
Sorry, but I don't know. That question can only be answered by one of the Captain Sim staff. All of my Captain Sim FSX addons are installed on my personal PC (see my computer specs in my signature below), not on a Client Computer. :-/ |

What you up to? A Multiplayer Session with the C-130? The C-130 have to be fully installed on both Systems to function proberly. I never heard from an "injected way" - I'am sure this will not work ;) |

Perhaps inject was a bad choice of words.
Not having installed the C-130 yet, my thoughts are that the C-130 will be installed into the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes folder on the FSX Computer. I would like to run the install program on client computer and have it make the installation on the FSX Computer. So I guess another way to word my question is does the C-130 installation program ask where the FSX program is installed, and if so can you point to a network computer? RodeoGeorge |

Yes, the Installprogram ask where the FSX is located at. I think it is possible to select an network-ressource, for example a network drive. You get the usual dialog, so it should also be possible to select an external ressource. |

The only problem that I can see with what you want to do, is that the Windows Registry entry will be done on the client computer and NOT the FSX Computer which leads to the anti piracy measures coming into effect and preventing it from working correctly (unless the client computer CAN inject the entry to the FSX computers registry). |

Ah yes. The registry entries. Didn't consider that. Thanks for injecting that variable. RodeoGeorge |
