Mark, I think the issue with the 777 is simple. It is a VC and as such the whole panels and cabin is in 3D. I see the ND like a good foot recessed under the glareshield, the throttle levers stick out 6" up. I simply cannot get my pointer to activate anything because it is in space
The whole thing is out the display right in front of me.
In the case of the 57-67, the panels are in 2D, no relief and my pointer is fine. the rest of the cockpit is 3D.  The overhead, on a second display is 2D, no problem
Outside the windshield, all 3D
On some of the controls, in Nvidia, I have a message " controlled by FSX or controlled by the program ? I believe Microsoft got things ready with Nvidia up to a point.  ;D
Today I will try to see if I can do anything about the 777.
The water looks better, the action of the wind is seen on the waves at low alt. Landing west against the wind, the waves go from the beach like they should.   8-)
