I think he needs the driver package which then enables the onboard devices in case the default (and most likely old) Windows DVD drivers can't. This work might involve using another system and an USB stick, Tim. At least until your main sys joins the Net and the world of Windows updates.  :D

Just head for the Alienware site and download all relevant drivers you can find onto that USB stick.
