Hi, My fuel calculation technique is working. I simply copy the airliners.

Today my wife flew ACA 925, KFLL to CYUL ( Montreal ) to visit her family - I did not go, cause they all come south in the winter time.
She flew an A320. I asked her to go talk to the capt and bring me back the flight plan + cockpit print - will see.

I chose my trusty 757-200 to make the flight at the  time, same weather ?

My fuel calculation was this way.

flight time  3hrs - avg for last 7 days of AC
180 min
45 min  at arrival ( hold, traffic ,ATC)
0  alternate - major airport 20 miles away - Mirabel
 30 min of final reserve
and 16 min of taxi at 35lbs a min.

My 57 burns 128,65 lbs per minute in CRZ.

At the gate my fuel block was 33,365 lbs.
I took off at 2.45 same as ACA - they were late 1 1/4 hr.
Initial CRZ FL340 -step up to 38 following Vnav page 2.

There is a terrain constraint of 6000, 35 miles from arrival.
FMC did it right. "RESET MCP" should work both ways , up or down.
I landed on RW24R facing a 17kts crosswind at 25 on the right.
I added 6kts to  VREF30/119 to make 125.
All was right  - flight time 3hrs and 15 min.  fuel left 9.3 - right on, my reserve and a few dust.
ACA made it in 3hrs and 11 min - same path and similar weather.

4 minutes difference over 1450 nm!!!!!!! It is scary !!!!!!

I sent a tel message to my wife saying. " You have now arrived "  ;D

Raymond    Boeing or nothing
KFLL  South Florida

8-)
