Now if you want a great example, MarkOz is one, always able to help and a fountain of knowledge about this stuff and he is not the only one, good teachers are like that!
You've made me blush! The secret, for me, is the pleasure I get from knowing that I have helped someone fix their problem. But I want to thank you for these kind words as they also mean a lot to me. They reinforce my drive to continue to help others.

Last there is a difference however between a genuine lack of knowing how simming all works as opposed to someone who is too darn lazy or stupid to read the MANUAL FIRST then ask some questions. Enough said.
I did this recently. SHOCK, HORRORS! :o
The big difference was that I HAD read the manual, but had somehow missed the instruction in the manual. I do not know how I missed it, but I did. Before I went into the forum to ask for help, I searched all the manuals for the answer, but never found it. Wrong wording in the search field can draw a blank... This is why I usually provide the answer and the manuals file name and the page that the answer is on. How many times has anyone slapped there forehead and gone "Sh*t! I should have seen/found that!". Yep. It can happen to us all. Fortunately for me, I got a nice enough answer from someone. In that same forum, I have seen some atrocious responses to simple questions, so I was really didn't want to ask for help there (I had already gotten a dreadful response to the first and previous question I had asked in there several years ago). This led to a desperate search of the forums in my hope to find an answer, which I never found. So I was left no option but to ask for help. So I fortunate that day. Phew! ;D

In here, I take into account that the Captain Sim product manuals do not get installed with the products, they must be found and download by the user. This means that some people don't have the manuals in the first place! Not only that, they may not even know where to look! Even the links provided in the Start menu for the CS products, do not point to the actual links to download the manuals from, they point to the Check-in page for your Profile. That's awkward to say the least.

Then there's me. I ONLY read the manual when I get stuck and can't figure out why something isn't working. :o

Back to ORBX Global, I think it is a great product especially for the terrain textures it now adds to parts of the world which in the stock FSX world were terrible, like the Falkland Islands, now seem quite realistic. Just the place to take the RAF Tristar!!
I agree. ;)
