Cannot offer anything on ORBX customer relations, never had to use it, there stuff has always installed and worked flawlessly for me.

Trouble with customer service is they always put the most inexperienced and underpaid person into the job (bit like the company IT Help Desk), there generally very young and always getting the rough end of the pineapple from issues outside of their control. I have empathy for them but no sympathy for the company that does it (Think of any Telco or ISP provider as an clear example).

Anyway the Forum issue and peoples responses is very valid, you do see some really rude and crappy stuff to what is a genuine inquiry, IMHO, a lot of us simmers forget that there are lots and lots of newbies to the fun of flight simming and they/we forget what is was like when we started out and what was hideously complex or unfathomable to use was not to someone who had been doing it for ages. So it is up to us to be helpful as far as I am concerned. Now if you want a great example, MarkOz is one, always able to help and a fountain of knowledge about this stuff and he is not the only one, good teachers are like that!

Last there is a difference however between a genuine lack of knowing how simming all works as opposed to someone who is too darn lazy or stupid to read the MANUAL FIRST then ask some questions. Enough said.

Back to ORBX Global, I think it is a great product especially for the terrain textures it now adds to parts of the world which in the stock FSX world were terrible, like the Falkland Islands, now seem quite realistic. Just the place to take the RAF Tristar!!
