Not really much you can do. I did request this feature because it would be more realistic.

What I do, is I make sure I land at VREF+5 which gives me a softer landing.
Depending on what you've heard, you can either add 50% of the headwind speed or 100% of the headwind speed - i.e. Landing with a 10 knot headwind, use either VREF+5+5, or VREF+5+10.
VREF+5+5 will most likely give you the softer landing of the two.
