My wife thinks I'm crazy when I do the same. Maybe she is right, but is good to know I'm not the only one. :o

You are not alone! My wife just rolls her eyes and shakes her head. At least she'll make a cup of coffee for me every now and then. The rest of the time, I have to get my own (and maybe have to make her a cup of coffee too!). :D ;D

About to wrap up KIAH-ESSA (163 NM to go).  I do the same thing and if my wife weren't gone on a trip (Flight Attendant), I'd get dirty looks too! :)

On the long hauls, I time them so they'll fly while I'm sleeping (kind of realistic anyway).  Started at 8pm last night, woke up at my usual time at 5am this morning and I'll land and shut down before I get ready for work.

The 772ER (GE) has performed quite well.  I did get the red N2 indicators too (almost all the way through the climb between FL200 and FL370 cruise, but otherwise not a big deal.
