I wouldn't worry too much about the "end of support" for WinXP because it's pretty stable these days, so it should be good for a while to come.
Win 7, or Win 8, 64bit would be better because they have the capability of allowing more the 4 GB of RAM, and 8GB seems to make FSX run better. ;) |
