Well Lex I just looked it over and she is outstanding except for one thing..
The Stew is wearing a blue dress instead of hot pants and tall boots like they did back in the day..  :D

All kidding aside you really did a great job on it as you do on all of these you paint.

It is very nice to see that kind respect in here, even though I agree that it's okay for you to ask him to call you Lex! I'm okay for him to call me Mark too. I like to think of us all as friends in here. ;)

My children's friends have always called me Mark! Never Mr Fletcher!!! When I was a child, all my friends parents were called Mr or Mrs. Where has all that gone?

You're definitively right Mark and I support your idea of a big friendship in this forum.  :)  World has changed and we are all closer with forums like this. It's great for me to make people happy with a simple texture on the other side of the planet something our parents couldn't do. At least for those of us with a certain age and as you mention, times were different.

Now I wonder Bonham5, who will start a new topic dedicated to the stews and hot pants and boots ?  :-?

Would be something related with the airline old logo shape on vertical stabilizer?

Hello Pinatubo,
Yes "Meatball" nickname is related to the tail logo. Designed by Saul Bass and initially black (Robert F. Six era) it became red (during the Lorenzo era). Why ? I couldn't find a real statement why. Probably it looks like a flat meatball with a little bit of fantasy  :-/
I read a few articles and discussions about Continental before the paint so I could only repeat what you can find on the www. This is a link to one of the discussions I found:
