So I had a look at this and found a reasonable fix. The 737-200ADV and 737-100 are slightly better as in the 727-200 the cabin of the mobile baggage conveyor is pretty much touching the fuselage. The settings are in the aircraft.cfg file in the [Exits] section. As far as I'm aware these are the only settings which govern the placement of the default FSX ground services. The format they should take are (again as far as I am aware): exit.X = A, B, C, D, E Where: X = The exit number A = The open or close rate in percent per second of the exit B = How far forward (+) or aft (-) of the datum point the exit is C = How far left (-) or right (+) of the datum point the exit is when looking from the rear of the aircraft toward the nose D = How far above (+) or below (-) the datum point the exit is E = The exit type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency) The datum point is the starting reference point the model developer uses from which the other three dimensional coordinates are measured to create the aircraft model. When I played around with these, it seemed that irrespective of what I did with the 'C' setting, the distance of the mobile conveyor from the aircraft just did its own thing dependant on the other settings. Not sure if anybody more knowledgeable than me has any idea why. Anyhow, the settings I came up with and work pretty well for me are: Code (]737-200 [exits):
These settings can replace your existing values in the [exits] section of your aircraft.cfg, but remember to back this file up before changing and saving just in case your system does not respond in the same way as mine did! Note - These send the ground vehicles to the aft cargo door, even though the vehicles are actually summoned by opening the forward cargo door. I simply open the aft cargo door first and the forward cargo door second. I did set up the forward doors, but found that the baggage truck was parking unrealistically next to the engine when this was achieved. Kind regards, Adam |
