When you select VNAV does the light on the switch come on? You can always just use the speed hold function and set the V/S to climb to your cruise altitude.

Hey, John, sorry to hear about the trouble. Just out of interest, which version of the plane are you using? The current one should be 1.5. Can you provide a screenshot of the panel so that we can see the status of the AP/AT?

Is the AT not working at all or do you lose it all of a sudden? From your first post, I'm not sure, hence the question.

Have you used the A/T Arm switch? (left side of the MCP)?
