Title: Crew Messager Post by Wilhelm on Jan 23rd, 2013 at 5:35pm
Hi,
no respond when I press the Cpt. or Attendants buttons. The .wav files, however are in their proper place. Even loading the aircraft 2 or more times it won't help. Can someone tell me what I must do to get the voices working? My OS = Win7 64 bit FS = FSX Acceleratin With kind regards Wilhelm |

A common problem. Start with the Cessna cold and dark - load the 727 - then immediately load it again - and see if the messages work then

After the 727 first loads into FSX, the sounds don't work, so I just reload the 727 and the sound works fine - Crew Messages, Altitude Alert etc. ;)

Strange. Your setting is like mine.
Cessna C172 cold and dark, Win7 Pro 64bit and FSX/Acceleration. :-/ I have the exact same problem as you are having, but it's Win 8 Pro 64bit. Nothing I do gets the sound on. :( |

I'm sorry to say that I noticed by now that besides the crew announcement don't work none of the .wav files installed in the sound folder will repond.
By the way I have OS Win 7 64 Bit Maybe someone has figured out what to do about this. With kind regards Wilhelm |

Hello Wilhelm,
There is a thread here http://captainsim.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1264321545 which offers 154 posts, 11 pages of reading and several solutions. I use the "rename the 707 sound.dll" fix which you will find among other solutions. Not that it matters to you but this is NOT a Windows 8 issue. |
