I wouldn't focus on that one thrust value in the sim. This leaves out how e.g. the drag is modelled and how the thrust relates to the (sim) fuel burn. So it's not like you would just enter the rw thrust values and be a happy pilot. Well, unfortunately not.  :-/

The trick on modelling a good sim flight model is to work around some FSX engine limitations and quirks. By this, the thrust value is one factor in a bunch of.. many. Take the air file for example.
