Did you apply the changes to the aircraft.cfg? The readme says.

(leave this step out when using the FDE mod)
2. Under the [TurbineEngineData] section change static thrust value to:
static_thrust=19000      //23000

Without those edits, you have two and a half engines, so to speak.  :D
