Title: Distance Measurement
Post by signmanbob on Sep 28th, 2012 at 3:59am
Hello,
I don't seem to be getting any DME on my VOR with the 707. I think I have everything turned on the way it should be and the VORs are working, they just don't show any distance.
I was wondering if there is something that I may be missing in my aircraft setup that is causing the DME not to work at all?

Try to turn both DME Function Switches to [NORM] position, using mouse right button. Default position is [OFF].

See 707 Captain’ FLIGHT MANUAL Part II – Aircraft and Systems, pages 67 and 68.

Hope this helps.

Pinatubo.

Thank you soooo much Pinatubo.  That was what my problem was.  I really appreciate your help. :)
It's a little hard to fly with VOR when you don't know your distances. Now I can really enjoy this beautiful aircraft.
