Title: Autothrottle not fast enough Post by cj95 on Jul 27th, 2012 at 7:50pm
Ran into a strange issue. At cruise altitude, Im trying to command my autothrottle to hold at .8 mach.
However the darn thing refuses to raise N1 above 76% and I therefore cant get going fast enough. I can click off the autothrttle and go faster manually, but that defeats teh purpose. Any way to tell the autothrottle to actually fly the speed I have set? Thanks |

I had the same problem, but with the Thomas Ruth A330-200, I beleive its an FSX problem, not a Captainsim problem because it happened to me too, but with a different plane, and I couldn;t fix it, I just had to use the Thomas Ruth A330-300ER

I know what the problem is! You need to manually move the thrust to whatever Mach (or speed) you want it, and then engage the speed hold, I found that out yesterday on a flight, I wanted to go from Mach .66 to Mach .80, and it wasnt working, so I manually put it to Mach .80 and then enagaged the Auto throttle and it worked

@fsxking08 - I think you might need to reinstall the 757-200 Base Pack, mine doesn't have any of these throttle problems you have mentioned in several Topics. :(
Out of curiosity, which version are you using? 4.4 or 4.6? |

It says 4600, but I have no idea, and I just installed Windows 7 32, so hopefully it might change, if not, its not too annoying

The 4600 signifies that it is version 4.6. ;) Now try this. Right mouse click on the installer - csp751_4600.exe - and select Run as administrator from the list that pops up. Because it is already installed, you should get an option to Repair or Remove, select Repair. That might fix your problem. If FSX is installed in either C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86), then you might need to run FSX as an administrator. To do that, navigate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X), find fsx.exe > right mouse click on it > select Properties > select the Compatibility Tab > checkmark (place a tick in the box) beside Run this program as an administrator (under Privilege Level). I hope this helps you get it working. |
