Title: Idle RPM's Post by BrianG on Jul 12th, 2012 at 7:14pm
Does anyone know what the correct N1 or N2 idle percent is for the 727. Mine seems a bit high. N1=33%. N2=57%. I just re-calibrated my stick.
Thanks- |

My with Michael2 mod shows 26% N1 and 54% N2 and FF little less than 1000 lbs\hr

On mine (as installed and no mods), N1 is 32%, N2 is 56% and FF is slightly above 900 (about 910 or 920). I have adjusted the joystick axis for the the throttle with FSUIPC (registered version), so full throttle on my joystick gives 100% (only in FSX 99% by default) and on idle I get 0% (1% in FSX by default).

Thanks Mark and Windplayer,
I was having problems with reverse thrusters. I'm at 0-100% now on the throttle and its behaving as it should. Before I would get the sound of reversers but no change in engine readings and exhaust cones wouldn't change. This was true both for default and payware planes. I really don't know what I did to fix it. Idling does seem a bit high though after the re-calibration. Might have something to do with the fact that I changed thrust to 17,400 from the standard 15,500? |

No, i dont think that static thrust affects tachometers. and with the reversers sound - i had that too with my CH THROTTLE QUADRANT. But i set deadzone for throttles, and it fixed it ;)

Is this the 727-100 or 727-200? The figures I gave were for the 727-100. I'll need to check and see what I get on the 727-200, with which I have also upped the thrust to 17400. |

Mark
Mine is the -100 |

Hi Brian.
The thrust for my 727-100 is 15500. I find that is enough for the -100, but not for the -200. |

Mine modded have only 14000 lbs, so lower RPMs ;)

Yep. I have to agree. Lower thrust equals lower RPM's. :) |

Makes sense. I'll back the thrust off a little and see what happens. Thanks for your help on this
