Captain sim,

How would you feel about making a A380?

Oooufff, that ugly thing???   :P

I think many people here would prefer seeing a 747-1 or a DC-8

I dont really care about the A380, but there seems to be a lack of decent A320 and A330's in the FSX community. If CS made one, they would fill in that empty spot, just like they did for the 777. Please consider it CaptainSim, Im stuck with flying the WilcoAirbus one and trust me its very very disappointing. :(

I agree with you. Not only the Airbus A330 but also the WilcoB777 it's very disappointing.

Even if they aren't 100% models, there are still aircraft that have never been produced for FSX or any flight simulator on PC. I already named the Douglas DC-8. That is an extremly wanted bird in FSX. No company has produced it yet either.

In my opinion the airbus aircraft are to computered controlled, you turn this knob and push this switch and you're flying.

Flying a computer on a computer is quite boring!  :P

Anyways, CS has done a fantastic job with the classic airliners and Boeing's 7x7 series. I want them to stick at it because, well, they are really good at it!!!

The 757 is what, five years old now? It's still miles a head of the competition's version. I have both and CS is still my personal favourite.

Keep at it Captain Sim!  ;D

I would also rather like see DC-8 and Classic 747 made by CS. I think CS is best at making these old jetliners, although CS 757, 767 and 777 are very impressive addons I still haven't found them to be as good as CS 707 and 727 which I also own, personally for 767 and 757 I have found some of its competition to overall feel better to me (not in area of eye candy though), but nothing beats CS 707 and 727, and probably 737 too although I don't own it.

I personally like Airbus planes and think that their flight envelope protection overall makes them better in certain situations than their competition is, but modeling Airbus flight envelope protection and all that is really complicated process I have heard, so I think it wouldn't be worth it as another company is already working on very high quality small Airbus series and will likely model also bigger Airbus airplanes after that.

I would love to see well made Tu-95/114, or any other Tupolev or Ilyushin/Antonov.

Personally I like older airliners, have CS 727, 737 and C-130. Airbuses are little too "hi-tech" for my taste, like most 757+. Agree that CS has done great work with classic airliners.

I would really like a Tupolev, Yak or an Antonov

There is a freeware addon from *****(classified) Tu-154. It's a well known to russian sim community hardcore addon. CS can produce Tu-154 really fast, if they'll make a deal with *****(classified) and make virtual cockpit for already done systems and so on.

BUT! Not sure it will be a hit. Boeing, Airbus, DC, MD much more popular in general terms.

I would like to see refreshed 727. fix some bugs, add icing effects and many other systems which present but not really functional. Some guys asked for more glass in cockpit - CS can make it as separate expansion pack. Refreshed 727 would be a major hit.

Windy I would actually like to see a Tu-154... it's a cool looking plane, I got no idea what kind of instrumentation it has though lol, im guessing its analog gauges, eh?

+1 for 727 patch after 757 5.0

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJmd_Tl4G2k - its like this. If CS will build it, im sure it'll look exactly the same ;)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppTe3cNTIeo&feature=related - though Captain :)

A Tu-154 would be great and CS has all the resources available right at home. I mean why not take advantage of such an opportunity.

Also an IL-76 would be awesome. There is not a single great addon ever made for that type of plane. It would be a first.

NextlevelSimulation is doing an A380 and as for A320s well another company is doing one and I doubt anyone will top that....CaptainSim need not waste their time on an airbus when there are Dc-10s,L1011s,747 Classics and DC-8s to be made ;)

Once again I second that Boeing and Douglas classics remain a priority (perhaps even a Lockheed???  ;))

Jesus C***** is RIGHT with that takeoff.... nearly a right off...  :o :o Nice vids there Windy!

a 747 Classic series would only be successful if it surpasses the RFP747 in  terms of its systems. Then I would suggest the DC-8 or DC-10 ..and finally the L1011.

+1 L1011 a kinda forgotten by many :( thats unfair.

CLS has made an A330, it looks good, but many of its systems are not simulated and is very simple to fly. FeelThere's A330 is more realistic to fly but not as nice to look at as CLS's.

Yeah 747 classic is what I would like to see first, CS 727 with proper third party fixes is good enough already, CS shouldn't waste time on improving it more when we are completely missing many great classic airliners.

This would be my priority list:

1. 747 Classic, 747-100 and 200 as base pack, then cargo version, -300, 747SP and maybe some military versions too.

2. DC-8, maybe first variants as base back and later as expansions, + of course cargo version.

3. DC-10, there is really not that big differences in outside of different models, so maybe all pax versions as base pack and then cargo and tanker versions as expansions.

4. L1011, maybe those bigger versions as base pack and then -500 + cargo versions as expansion.

5. Il-76, only ones are from FS9 and really don't work well at all with FSX, myself I had to make custom 2D panel with fs panel studio to be able to enjoy one.

Well it looks like CS will be in business for a long time to come. I would like to see the L-1011 before the DC-10 though...  ;)

Yes, I know I'm ...

My 2 cents...

I would like to see CS do a KC-135 AI plane that would fly the old oil burner routes so you could join up and re-fuel.
It would be great fun to try to re-fuel the Air Force one model or the C-130 or the FA-18, or even the J-3

http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/9191/135kc.png

It would be a first for CS and I believe a winner.  ::)

Wow! Thats a really fresh idea. Nobody even thought that way...

That could be a good pack, but not AI KC-135 alone. CS already did weapon for FSX, so it could be another "out of stereotype" addon introducing Military\Spec operations like refueling, surveillance, photo-recon. AI tankers, Hi-Res photo\video camera, radar, water tanker could be in one pack.

KC-135 and C-130 fire fighter can be separate packs.

Also, working AWACS, VATSIM\IVAO ATC software compatible - could be super great. Because there is no way to simulate ATC from the plane in this networks, and most of ATC controllers in VATSIM are pilots themselves.

Speaking about online flying. There is a lot of events going on in VATSIM\IVAO, but there is no way to simulate search\rescue operations, and so on because of:

1- there is no AWACS
2- because no basis for that kind of operations. No AI boats needed to be found\ rescued, no fire in forests, no volcanoes, no hight politicians meetings with closed airspaces and fighters patrolling, no  nothing.
All the events are - fly there, or fly this route, we will provide full-ATC.
There is definitely place to improve.

So if make AI tanker, why not to fill that gap like with weapon for FSX, and create entire basis for that kind of activities.

I wonder how a J-3 would react to heavy wake turbulence  :-?

LOL well make sure the KC-135 comes with an extendable boom!!!!  ;)

Too bad though I don't think it's in very high demand???

VC-10 cool looking plane! Il-62 have similar engine layout. Both not as legendary as say, 747 ;)
