My callouts and button sounds dont worki have tried using the GPWS in my settings and controls and have toggled them but they wont work pls help :(

I'd just reinstall--sounds like something didn't install correctly.

Are you installing version 1.4 or 1.5? This was a problem in version 1.4, but was fixed in version 1.5.

In case you are using the earlier version, we fixed it by modifying the sound.ini in the <FSX root>\Captain_Sim\767 folder like this.

If you are still having problems, you can change all the 1's to 0's just in case. Remember that this is for v1.4 of the CS 767 Captain and not for v1.5.

When you were asked about the cs.sound.dll, did you allow it (clicked YES) or not (clicked NO)?
Same for the Captain_Sim.b767.sound.GAU?
I know that sometimes you can accidentally click on NO when you mean YES, which is why it's a stupid idea from MS, but nevertheless, it's there and we sometimes make mistakes because of it.

You could try opening the fsx.cfg, by entering this %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.cfg in the search programs and files that shows up on clicking START (Vista/Win7), OR by entering it in the RUN command (WinXP), and removing all the CAPTAIN SIM 767 entries listed in the [Trusted] section. They will look similar to these:

I suspect that either the first or third entry, OR both the first and third entries, may be missing, which might be why you don't hear the sounds.

oh yh when your playing it for the first time and it says run something something something sound i clicked run and yes

but it is still the same  :(

Open the dll.xml file (enter %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX\DLL.XML in the run command to open it) and see if it has the following entries for the Captain Sim 767 in it:

The second one is the one we are really interested in because it enables the 767 cs.sounds.dll to work.

Seeing as you were asked about allowing the cs.sound.dll when you first start FSX (after installing the 767), I suspect it is in there. So something else is going on here, but I'm not sure what. :(

Literally tried everything, the only sounds I get are the engine sounds and door sounds, running on fsx-se, someone try and help me before I admit defeat and realise I've wasted my money,

Hopefully Captain Sim will soon have a migration tool for the 767, like they have for the 777. :-/
