I'm looking at what I need to do to upgrade my graphics of my machine

I have

Win 7 64bi
GTX250 (I think) (how can I confrim this?)

What else do you need to know?

To get the information you require:

OS info: Press and hold the Windows key (the key between the CTRL and ALT Keys that has the Flying Windows logo on it) and the press and release the Pause Break key. This will bring up the info on your Windows OS with some other details but not your Graphics Card info.

Graphics Card info: On the top left side of the System Info page (Windows key + Pause Break as described above), you should see a list that includes Device Manager, click on it. A new window opens and from the list in that, expand the Display adapters and it will show you what you Graphics Card is.

Yes I have a GTS 250
8 GIG Ram
AMD Phentom II X4 965 Processor 3.40 GHz

what can I do to make the grahpics better

Probably get a better graphics card. GTX 570 or GTX 580. If you want an even greater card, you could buy the new GTX 680 (if you are willing to spend big).

You could buy an ATI card, they are usually cheaper, but I don't know what the best ones are.
