Once you start FSX, load the 767-300 Captain Cold-n-Dark (KSEA). Once you have loaded that flight you can switch to whatever livery you want, as well as move it to whatever airport you want and save it for later use if you want.

Another thing. Make sure that your default FSX flight is one of the default aircraft (Trike or C172 are best) with everything off except the Avionics Master Switch (unless you have set up a keyboard command or controller button to toggle the Avionics Master Switch). Doing this would allow you to start the 767 in a Cold-N-Dark situation every time.

Sorry about that.

When you start the APU, and switch the Packs and Isolation Valve, does the DUCT Pressure Indicator show that there is air pressure there for the engine start?

Using the Ground services, you need to press the E and the BA icons on the SimIcon panel. As with the above, does the DUCT Pressure Indicator show that there is air pressure there for the engine start once you press the BA icon?

If the DUCT Pressure Indicator is showing pressure , then the engines should start.

Alright im not sure what you mean by the duct pressure but i think u mean that indicator above the isolation buttons yes it does rise but i only use theground power not the BA im not quite sure whats BA in the first place.

The BA icon turns the ground Air Bleed air supply to start the engines. So you must turn it ON if you are using the External power (E) to start the engines.

Did you flip up the fuel cut off switches on the pedestal?

I flip the Fuel Switches up when the N2 reaches 20%. In the attached image, engine #1's N2 has just reached 20% (engine #2 is already started), so I would flip the switch and it will start. Not sure where you got the number 24 from, but I don't think it can reach that high without starting the engine.

Hi

Re-installed the 767 version 1.5 today and I am having the exact same issues... I tried everything, watched all the commonly linked to Youtube videos, but to no avail. My engines have power (APU on), fuel (fuel pumps all on, fuel switches on the central stand flipped UP) and air (Duct Pressure gauge showing pressure) still nothing happens when I turn the engine starter switches. "Valve" flashes once then starter switches back to center/off position.

Loading the 767 from a cold-n-ark default flight with the default FSX C172 with battery and master avionics ON and fuel selector to ALL.

What am-I forgetting or what am-I turning on that I shouldn't, or not so soon ? Does the IRS need to be aligned and FMC all programmed for the engines to be started ?

I don't have the 757, so cannot try the procedure on it to see if it's a 767 install - related issue.

Darned be those glass cockpit space planes, a LCD screen doesn't tell you what's amiss like dials on a full flight engineer's panel :D

EDIT : Solved it after one final try... Do NOT turn the Packs or anything above the Packs switches on.  Open the APU bleed, make sure the air flows all the way to the engines, but no Packs, and it works... Silly me.

Cheers

Nico

MAKE sure the Pack selectors are set to the OFF position.

In real life the A/C system uses to much of the bleed air meaning  there would not be enough flow to start the engines.

Seems obvious NOW, but I don't think the Duct Pressure gauge shows any drop in pressure when the Packs are ON. I must've got  mislead by some of the videos where they switch the entire pneumatic panel to ON before start up... Now to try some of these over-long flights again. Does the new version handle time compression better ?

Cheers

Nico
