Title: 707 aircraft data for FSC 9 Post by Morten on Mar 11th, 2012 at 5:15am
I wonder if anyone already has gathered 707 aircraft data for FSC 9, that I can use right away? ::)
As FSC unfortunately doesn't include the 707 as standard aircraft! >:( |

Sorry Morten. At one time I had all the Captain Sim aircraft. that I owned, added to FSC 9. Unforunately, I had a problem with FSC 9, uninstalled it deleted my FSC 9 folder (NOoooo!) and lost them all. I had also emptied the Rubbish Bin so they were gone for good. :'(
Not only that, I had over one hundred personalized waypoints that I lost as well. I can tell you I was really mad at myself. It must be because of my age. :( Mark |

Seeing this topic made me go and look for any backups I may have had. Unfortunately not. Other than being a bit time consuming, if you know the data required, you can get ready it brforehand. That's what I did. I got to the stage where I could add it into the aircraft.fsc without using the airplane edit from within.
63,MD11 Cargo another company,110000,410,290000,130000,50000,2500,290,2000,290,460,370,180,0, 3900 64,Transall,13128,300,49150,29000,20000,1250,180,1300,200,250,210,125,0, 999 65,Piper Cheyenne,1112,290,3946,2317,317,1000,125,1000,150,240,250,160,0, 1320 Entry # (increases by 1 for each additional entry) Aircraft Name Max Fuel Cieling (FL) Max Weight Empty Weight Load (payload) Climb Rate (fpm) Climb Speed Descent Rate (fpm) Descent Speed Cruise Speed Approach Speed NOT SURE (but all aircraft have a zero there) Max Range All you would need to do is gather the data and write like the example, and you would be set. Doing them that way, my biggest mistake was the Entry #, they increase by 1 with each additional aircraft, and I would forget and repeat a number and that meant that it, and every aircraft that followed it in the list, were not seen by FSC. It was still easy. Adding the aircraft in FSC is good, but I accidentally modified some of the default ones too often, so I switched my method of adding them to the one described above. It was safer for me. Mark |

Hi Mark
For several hours I have been gathering (and converted!) all necessary 707-300 data for FSC9 - Not easy, because the information is diverging depending on where you look! A few data I simply couldn't find, so I had to guess! However there's one aspect that is missing in your schedule - item no.11 and I can't figure out what it could be..? In the example with the MD11 Cargo, it is present with the value '460'. Properly some speed value thing... Temporary entry for Boeing 707-300B: 1. Aircraft Name= 707-321B ADV 2. Max Fuel (kg)=90290 3. Cieling (FL)=410 4. Max Weight (kg)=151500 5. Empty Weight (kg)=64863 6. Load (payload)(kg)=12764 7. Climb Rate (fpm)=2500 8. Climb Speed (KIAS)=270 9. Descent Rate (fpm)=2000 10.Descent Speed (KIAS)=270 11.??? 12.Cruise Speed (KIAS)=470 13.Approach Speed (KIAS)=185 14.NOT SURE (but all aircraft have a zero there) 15.Max Range (NM)=5000 |

Oops. I missed one there. Sorry Morten. :(
The missing one was the CRUISE FL. So it is not #11 that is missing, but #13. Mark |

Aha..I see! Thanks!
...(not much level on that MD11 mother of yours, then?!) :o So I gues it should look like this: Entry for Boeing 707-300B: 1. Aircraft Name= 707-321B ADV 2. Max Fuel (kg)=90290 3. Ceiling (FL)=410 4. Max Weight (kg)=151500 5. Empty Weight (kg)=64863 6. Load (payload)(kg)=12764 7. Climb Rate (fpm)=2500 8. Climb Speed (KIAS)=270 9. Descent Rate (fpm)=2000 10.Descent Speed (KIAS)=270 11.Cruise Speed (KIAS)=470 12.Cruise FL (fl)=370 13.Approach Speed (KIAS)=185 14.X=0 15.Max Range (NM)=5000 In fact I also have had some disastrous moments of missing data files! Two years ago I had to pay 1.670 AUD in order to recover a broken harddisk with extremely important work files, etc. From then on I immediately installed Macrium Reflect backup software with scheduled incremental image backup files of all my harddisks! It runs 4 times a week and bring the image files to an external harddisk. The image files from the external harddisk are then once a month transported to another ext. harddisk and is then handled over to my girlfriend in the other part of the city! :P Since then I've had a couple of minor disasters on my desktop, for instance once with a heavily corrupted Registry with programs not starting and so on (too much for the windows system backup to handle)- but every time I saved my 'bottom' through the Macrium image backup and brought the whole harddisk (1:1) back to a previous and healthy stadium. With Macrium Reflect you can also easily make a virtual mount of an earlier harddisk image and, exclusively, pick up specific files or folders that you mistakenly have deleted. This could in fact have saved both of our silly little bottoms right now! :) For good reasons (!), I've been testing several backup programs before I finally chose British made Macrium Reflect. It's a jungle business and there are loads of promising backup programs out there, but when it comes to an actual (disaster) test, there's only some very few left who actually are able to do the job fully and safely! Their support is also very good. http://www.macrium.com/default.aspx |

1670 AUD! Ouch. :(
That Macrium Reflect sound very good and 50 to 60 USD is a lot cheaper than the cost of data retrieval costs. I shall look into it. I think that KG's would only apply to those countries that use Metric. Pounds might display in countries that use Imperial. |
