In the real plane there is a flight start checklist.

You need to:

1.Place Start lever to cutoff
2.Check in-flight start envelope for speed and altitude
3.Fuel valve open, boost pumps on
4.Engine start switch to FLT position (overhead panel, right click)
5.Start lever to IDLE or start
6.When engine at idle, engine start switch off

That should get the beast going.
