Exactly what the topic states...When I attempt long flights and the center tanks empty, then engines shut down. �Now I know that you should never �let the tanks get to zero, however, it shouldn't shut down my engines if I don't turn off my center pumps when the center tanks hit zero! If both the Left and Right tank are still at 100%, then why the shutdown?

This problem might be caused by your default flight. If the default flight has its Fuel Selector switch set to Center and not to ALL, then when you load the 767, it will only use the fuel from the center tank regardless of the fuel pumps you have turned on.

My default flight is the default MSFS C172, Cold-N-Dark, with the Avionics Master Switch turn ON. The fuel selector is set to ALL.

LOL, that brings back memories. Right after I upgraded a
system to FSX Gold I had a weird problem with an L1011,
its fuel system was not working right, and it drove me to
distraction for a couple days... In the end it was exactly
this problem, the silly little default Cessna fuel setting...

ROFL, the architecture of the sim is SO bizarre at times,
as a programmer it just boggles my mind.

Great! Thanks for the input. I will take a look at this. I used to keep the CS757 Cold & Dark as my default, however, I had a harddrive crash and I have yet to set up a new default since. So as of now its the FSX default. That is clearly my problem! I was doing a polar ops from CYVR to VHHH and I wasn't going to sit through the entire flight. When I returned I saw I was sitting on the gound somewhere in Russia with no engines! How Frustrating! Thanks again!

I think this would explain why when I program my fmc to fly from Atlanta to Chicago, I would get an insuffcient fuel message but, the fuel I loaded from FSP would be there and I could make the whole flight! Mind Boggling! LOL

So I have selected the 767 as my default flight...cold and dark at KMCO (my home port) and Again...the engines shut down when the center tank empties..I did a test and started the engines with full tanks..then changed the fuel to remove it from the center tanks...when I returned to the plane...engines were off...Is this because I have selected a COLD and DARK setup for my default?
