Any VATSIM users here? I had an idea and I want to get some feedback from you all....

Normally VATSIM will host various events such as crossing the pond etc....anyways I thought it might be a good idea to have a Golden Era flight event where for 1 day (Twice a year) everyone flies a retro aircraft such as the 707,727,737-200,DC-9,747 Classic etc..

Flights will be done to and from LAX - JFK, DFW - JFK, MIA - JFK.

Any thoughts?

Good idea. AND, it's cool to use old charts\procedures. Fly radio\doppler\INS navigation.  :D

If Captain Sim is also inclined to the idea it would be good to have its support behind this idea or anything similar. This way all virtual pilots who support Captain Sim by purchasing their products 737,727,707 can all band together to put those products to good use in a fun setting. This event will also be extended to Virtual Airlines who have a retro fleet as well.

Maybe a prize from Captain Sim can be won during the event. This will surely boost support for the event and make it something to look forward to on an annual basis...

And yes Windplayer.....old school navigation preferably...but gps may be allowed I guess..
