My fav's are the 727 and 707 just because they are planes you actually fly ( what a concept). It's very satisfying landing the plane by hand in 1/2 mile visibility. Lots more fun than imputing a few things in a FMC and staring at the screen watching it fly itself.  The 727-100, in spite of the bugs, is really great to fly on shorter routes and handles like a sports car. I must admit I cheat and bumped up the thrust a bit though.

The two are  very different. With the 707, you have to fly it more (be at the controls most of the time). There is no A/T so I spend fair amount of time making adjustments to the throttles. I have to land the plane (A/P helps, but I have to do the work). 767 is almost a case of "set and forget". I get more satisfaction from the 707 because I am the one who makes the flight a success. Or not! ;) It is not fully automated. Mark

If you want the same satisfaction out of the 767, or even other newer models for that matter, just turn off the a/p and hand fly them in just like the vintage stuff  :P
