I flew the 707-300 from Seattle to Honolulu about 6 or 7 times. Once was using Doppler navigation, the rest were using INS. My INS was out of alignment by a bit when I reached Hawaii, but I couldn't get the INS (single unit) to align when I got close enough. Still not 100% sure how to do it, but the instructions are in the CIVA INS documentation.

I think you need 2 units working to get them to update to a VOR.  There are some notes here about mods for dual use.

To update, do the following:

1. tune in Nav2 (not Nav1) to the in range VOR.
2. Get the long/lat of the VOR station from the chart or other source.
3. Select WPT and pick any number (say 1).
3. Right click on #7 and then #9 (you will see the WPT go to zeros.)
4. Enter the long/lat from above.
5 Once entered click INSERT WPT #1 enter.
6. check for the green light. Should be DME updating now.
