Title: Autopilot A/T warning-alarm
Post by TheCloudSurfer-III on Dec 10th, 2011 at 1:34am
When I'm flying ILS or visual approaches and it's time to disconnect the autopilot is there a way to  avoid the A/Throttle disconnect warning-alarm? Is this normal?
I also have to  turn off flight director same time as master autopilot because if not, ALT, HDG, etc profiles keep selected.
Thanks

I think that because it has a fully automated capability, that the alarms/warnings are triggered to let you know if they are no longer operating. So I don't think you can turn them off with triggering the alarms/warnings.

If you do an AUTOLAND, they will be turned of automatically when the wheels meet runway (auto-spoilers deploy, A/T and A/P disconnect).

Alright, thank you.
I'm going to land Visual in JNB in an hour, will keep A/T engaged for the landing and 15 ft from the ground reduce to idle manually and see what excactly happens.

Click the A/T disconnect button on the left throttle lever twice.
