Title: C130 autopilot using Saitek's autopilot panel Post by fsx on Aug 14th, 2011 at 3:11pm
Hi all
I know it is not technically correct, but I would like to use my Saitek autopilot panel to engage and control the a/p on the C130. However, the Saitek panel wont engage the a/p. I only find this happening with the C130. Any advice as to how I can get this to work? Thanks erich |

I have the Saitek, Multi Panel, Comms Panel and Switch Panel. I use a third party program called SPAD, you can google "SPAD Saitek" and get it. It allows a better control over the panels and their setup over the OEM drivers.
When I use the autopilot with CS-C130X, I have to turn the Autopilot on using the aircraft panel, then its a matter of selecting the altitude, and VS rate and hitting the AP button and Altitude button.. Now the Track button for the heading, I have to select it on the CS-C130X panel to turn it on and then I can rotate the heading and course knobs as required. To turn it off, just hit the AP button and they will turn off.. that simple.. There is no Auto Throttle with this version of C-130, so it won't work. Check out the forums on how to set things up over there and life should be good. |
