Also I want to know if I will be able to install my CS adds on it, cause as you know I must buy new FSX because the old one is registered for my old PC.

I just bought a new system, and I did not have to buy a new copy of FSX. You can have both FSX and your CS addons on multiple computers.  :)

I am not a hardware savvy techi, but I think that system is pretty weak for FSX. I suggest you go to the AVSIM Hardware Forum and ask those guys.

Make sure you get a really good graphics card. My new system is very high-end except for the graphics card (which is good, but it's the low-end of the high-end), and my FSX performance is not as good as it could be on my machine.

Ideally you want an Intel i5-2500k or an i7-2600k CPU clocked at 4.6Ghz or greater; an Nvidia GTX560, or better, GPU; 8Gb 1600 cl6 ram; 3 dedicated fast HDs for the OS/FSX/other, 750w power supply, and top notch cooling. That would be just about top of the line at the present. FSX prefers Intel and Nvidia parts. AMD and ATI don't provide the best performance. Again, that's from the experts --- not me.

I believe the processor speed is a lot more important than the video card. FSX is very hard on the processor.
That said, read this and see what you think.

Have a go at this info from the AVSIM forum...http://forum.avsim.net/topic/321806-how-fsx-works-and-how-performance-is-affected-by-different-hardware-explained/

Nothing is simple in FSX!  :o

Now I'm confused. I was told yesterday that FSX runs mainly off the graphics card, and now I hear it's the processor.  :o

Lou is correct---FSX is mostly CPU dependent. A current, stable 4.6+ CPU is the key. Fast ram, fast hard drives and a high end GPU all add performance, but none of those do anything for FSX if the CPU isn't one of the the best available --- and overclocked to at least 4.6Ghz.

I have a 4 year old Q6600 running at 3.6, a GTX 8800 Ultra 768Mb GPU, 3 WD raptor 10000 rpm drives, 850w ps and I can't fly into/out of LGA unless sliders are mostly mid level, or less, and even then it doesn't get the job done very well.

A current, high-end over-clocked Intel CPU is mandatory --- but then you need the rest of the top end stuff as well --- unfortunately.

If you fly small ga ac from county airport to county airport then lesser hardware can perform satisfactorily.

I bought my copy of FSX before it was released (I pre-ordered it). I am currently on my 4th or 5th computer since then. I just uninstalled it from my old computer and reinstalled it on the new one. I did have FSX installed on my wife's computer, at the same time as it was installed on my computer, when my brand new Graphics Card turned out to be faulty. I had no problem Activating it on hers, but I did have trouble with Activation it again on my computer once my replacement Graphics Card arrived. I tried to activate it 3 times in one week, the third one failed. I think there is a time limit between activations of FSX, but don't know how long that is. When I first got FSX, the talk was that you were only allowed to activate it 3 times, but I have activated mine at least a dozen times so far. Maybe it was really 3 times within a certain period, rather than ONLY 3 times.

Add to it, if you cannot activate, use the phone option and follow instructions to activate FSX.

I'm not sure if it's allowed to install FSX on more then one computer. MS is very picky on licenses and same goes for Windows that officially is only allowed to install on 1 computer at the time and if you to install the same license on another pc, the second 1 is illegal.

I think you are correct in saying that the license is for a single computer.

@Abdulla. If it is installed on your computer, as well as your friends computer, I think MS will, more than likely, view it as a case of software piracy. Maybe you had better buy another copy of FSX, or make your friend buy his own copy, to be on the safe side. :(

Abdulla --

I personally do not have the knowledge to comment on your proposed lap top. I really think you should pose that question on the AVSIM Hardware Forum.

http://forums1.avsim.net/

Register, sign in and scroll down to the *Hardware Discussions* forum and post your question in the *Mobo, Ram, Cpus and other Hardware* section. That is the best way to get a qualified answer.

Good luck on your search!

that is the price for the Laptop:
1,170 BHD = 3,103 USD

and if you asking about what add-on I will use on FSX, I usually don't use scenery adds but I use like X-Graphics, Active-Sky X, and Airplanes from (CS, PrecisionManuals, CLS, Carenado, RealAir).
