Title: 727-200F overshoots runway Post by connors on Jul 16th, 2011 at 5:22pm
Not related to the simulator, but I thought some may find this interesting so I thought I'd share as this happened at my home airport.
http://vocm.com/newsarticle.asp?mn=2&ID=15517 This was at CYYT St. John's International Airport, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada this morning, July 16. More pictures can be found by clicking the link at the bottom of the article. |

In the Boeing manual it says: "for every extra knot of airspeed on touchdown, add 50' to the landing distance."
Now if it was raining at the time and the runway is not grooved and they slid into the rubber coated part of the runway, etc, etc, etc! :-[ Lou |
