What I love hearing from Lou, is the way things were/are seen by the guys at the pointy end of the stick. If Lou says that pilots called the DC-10 the Death Star and the MD-11 Son of Death Star, then why shouldn't I believe him?

Douglas made wonderful planes up to the number 8.
I thought that the DC-9/MD-80 were quite good, as well as successful, going by the amount of them that seem to be around. But, when all said and done, McDonnell Douglas are not around anymore, except for what Boeing have continued with since buying them out.

And regardless of why they called the DC-10 and MD-11 those nasty names, I still have a lot of affection for them anyway. Especially the DC-10. ;)
