Title: Whats with the pitch?
Post by ryancoke on Jul 2nd, 2011 at 6:28pm
I am at 2000 feet doing 300 IAS. To keep level I need 4.5 degrees of nose up pitch to keep level!! Heck in the 737, at 39000 feet its only 3 degrees so why so high in the 707 at 2000 feet!

ryancoke, I'm not sure why your needing 4.5 degrees??? Here are two screen captures of a 707 at 2,000 feet at 300 KTS and I'm showing just a tad under 3 degrees, with 50% fuel load.

All I did was to blow up the origional.  It's not the top of the dot, but the middle where you read the pitch.
I'm just trying to help you not nit pick. If you want to call it 3,5, be my guest.  :P
