Title: Regarding the Flight Director and Yaw Damper. Post by btscott on Jul 1st, 2011 at 1:24pm
A couple questions:
1.) Does anyone use the Flight Director? Seems you only need to use the Auto Pilot for everything. The manual says something about using it only if the AP is off. I tried using it that way and it didn't seem to do anything.?? What is the Pitch Command setting for?? 2.) Can't find a Yaw Damper switch!!?? Manual said something about yaw damper working when AP is on?? Man, these old airplanes are like a Rube Goldberg!! Thanks! Bruce |

1) NO I don't. I can't figure it out. Lou explained it to us, but it's still got me beat. :(
2) Hydraulic Power System, Rudder Switch on OH panel. Next to the the Inboard and Outboard Spoiler Switches. I think. And a question for you Bruce. Who is Rube Goldberg? :-? Mark |

Hi Mark!
Thanks for the reply! (rode my motorcycle all day -- thus the late response) I'll just use Shift + D for the yaw damper I guess. Here's the Wikipedia on Goldberg. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rube_Goldberg And here is a modern example of a Rube Goldberg contraption: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qybUFnY7Y8w Hope you are doing okay, Mark!
