Title: Re: Maverik Missile Post by wingclip on Aug 24th, 2011 at 11:55pm
Hi Peter, I sent an email to you a few hours ago but I thought I would ask this question here also just in case someone can answer it if they have a moment.
I am not able to fire the rockets or missiles that I have installed from your collection. The Hellfire missile, for example, comes up when I use the Cntrl+shift+7 to cycle the subtypes and it shows that I have 4 ready to fire but that's it. In fact nothing I have will fire after I installed the Hell fire or any other of missiles. I think this may be because I am misunderstanding your instructions regarding the CSWeapon_Hellfire.XML file. The instructions have me bewildered because it states to "Rename it, (your CSweapon_Hellfire.XML), CSWeapon.XML and place it in the chosen aircraft folder". Of course the chosen aircraft folder already has a file with that name, (when I loaded the aircraft using the CS loader), so I was guessing that it somehow replaced the other file. So I renamed it and then I received the expec ted dialog box asking if I wish to replace the file that already has that name and I said yes. Now I have tried to figure out what I'm doing wrong but even the ability to add additional models of your weapons, (like the Phoenix), is a problem because the file that now has the Hellfire in it will be overwritten by the Phoenix file making it imposable to have more than one of your missile types in the same plane's arsenal at the same time. So I KNOW that I do not understand what you mean. Can you or anyone who would like to step in, tell me how I'm suppose to rename/install your XML when there's already one there? Thanks |
