Peter,

Thanks for sending the Maverick files to me via PM. I have installed it next to your previous Martel and Red Top. All three work great and are a nice improvement to CSWeapon. I hope CS is still considering an update with more functions in the future.

Johan

Johan,

Thanks for the feedback, and glad to hear it all works well. Currently experimenting with some flame effect from the missile.
Still needs some work to get it right...

It looks very promising on the picture. Maybe some work on the colors?
Thanks Pete.

Johan,

Just added this texture quickly to see  if it looked any good or if it was seen for the brief time before it shoots of into the distance.

I have just used the F18 afterburner texture as it was handy. What I want is a big flame effect, that goes shortly after launch and then changes to a jet effect.

I will keep experimenting.

Pete,

This is great, and I am glad Mark is being supportive. Mark has been such a great asset and wise adviser during the birth and rising of CSWeapon which is a great add to the FSX community.
Thanks to both,

Johan

Thanks for the comments and support, always nice to know you are doing things right. I am away on vacation for a couple of weeks and will send out the files to people who have requested them on my return.
Thank you for being patient.

Regards

Pete

Hi Peter, I sent an email to you a few hours ago but I thought I would ask this question here also just in case someone can answer it if they have a moment.

I am not able to fire the rockets or missiles that I have installed from your collection. The Hellfire missile, for example, comes up when I use the Cntrl+shift+7 to cycle the subtypes and it shows that I have 4 ready to fire but that's it.

In fact nothing I have will fire after I installed the Hell fire or any other of missiles. I think this may be because I am misunderstanding your instructions regarding the CSWeapon_Hellfire.XML file.

The instructions have me bewildered because it states to "Rename it, (your CSweapon_Hellfire.XML), CSWeapon.XML and place it in the chosen aircraft folder". Of course the chosen aircraft folder already has a file with that name, (when I loaded the aircraft using the CS loader), so I was guessing that it somehow replaced the other file. So I renamed it and then I received the expec ted dialog box asking if I wish to replace the file that already has that name and I said yes.

Now I have tried to figure out what I'm doing wrong but even the ability to add additional models of your weapons, (like the Phoenix), is a problem because the file that now has the Hellfire in it will be overwritten by the Phoenix file making it imposable to have more than one of your missile types in the same plane's arsenal at the same time.

So I KNOW that I do not understand what you mean. Can you or anyone who would like to step in, tell me how I'm suppose to rename/install your XML when there's already one there?
Thanks

Wingclip,

I have sent you a PM and will follow this up with an explaination later, in a nutshell I have modified the original .xml for each missile only, if you want to add more than one of my missiles then you have to manually edit the .xml file to also include the second or third model.

If you use the space bar to fire the missiles, again in the readme file I have detailed what assignment I use as the trigger, if yours is not the same then again you must modify the .xml file to what your trigger button is.

I will produce a document detailing what needs to be done to re assign triggers and how to add more than one missile of mine to the .xml file.

Please give me a day or two to get this done.

Pete
