Title: Lining up for an ILS approach by 707 flight crew Post by Jan Koppen on Apr 4th, 2011 at 9:09am
Gents
How did the original flight crew lined up for an ILS approach ? When I am somewhere in front (30 drgs) from the ILS path and turn the AP from heading to auto or manual GS the both VR and GS are amber. In this case the 707 is making a turn and gets from the glide path. I turn back on the heading AP but I guess this is not the way it should. :-[ How did the orig. flightcrew flew such an approach when the field was covered by clouds and the handy electronic card (GPS) was not at hand. ;) Thanks for help Jan Koppen |
