Title: Captain Sim starting problem.... Post by Brian2 on Mar 6th, 2011 at 10:23am
Hey everyone,
I just got started with Captain Sim and I'm having some issues... I googled a few tips and startup processes, but I the autopilot won't work, the IRs won't align, the ADI and HSI remain blank and the screen where the engine information should appear is also blank... :-[ Maby I'm doing somenthing wrong.... I read a few post and apparently the FMC/CDU has to be set for the ADI and HSI.. to be alive, but the problem is, the FMC/CDU also appears to be also dead.... :-[ Maby there is a switch somewhere I'm missing... :'( Any recomendations? :) Brian |

Hello Brian,
I am not an expert from Captain Sim but maybe I might be able to help you out. Lets start by checking the ACE ( Aircraft Configuration Editor ) C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Captain_Sim\757\ace Once you have opened ACE check that is not on DEMO MODE. If the ACE says DEMO MODE uninstall the plane and reinstall it make sure your typing the Order # correctly when it asks you for it on the installation. The Order # was provided to you on an email when you bought the product. Quote:
If this is not your problem I would ask you to please provide a screenshot of your VC ( Virtual Cockpit ) in order for me to see what the problem is more detailed. Also provide the your computer specs. For info of how to take an screenshot on windows 7 visit this site: http://www.w7forums.com/take-screenshot-t4830.html this process is the same for any windows or if you have FRAPS which is use for screen capture on any game you can use the option of screenshots. Thanks for your cooperation, Eduardo F. |

Sounds like your not getting any power to the electrical system.
I'm sure you did this, but did you turn on the battery switch? Do you have power comming in from the ground unit? |
