Hi this this my first Captain Sim C-130 flight and I'm dedicating it to the people of New Zealand.

Very tragic events over there in New Zealand. They are in my thoughts and prayers. I have a close friend (NZ expat) who has friends in Christchurch and he is very concerned having not heard from them all yet.
Thanks for sharing. Mark |

Thanks for sharing. Mark[/quote] I live just a few miles from Glenville NY, USA which is home to the 109th Tactical Airlift Wing, the only US airlift outfit that supports all our operations in the arctic and antarctic. Captain Sim has a livery for one of their planes "The Spirit of Scotia" They are the only wing in the whole USAF that has two bases. The one in Upstate NY as noted, the other is in Christchurch, NZ. There were 2 planes in NZ and they evacuated around 20 US personnel, and a third plane in Glenville departs today taking relief aid to her second home, and more to follow. They also still have to keep stockpiling winter supplies to McMurdo in Antarctica for summer is ending there soon. The LC-130H's of the 109th will be extremely busy for a long time to come. Their aircrews, groundcrews, and leadership are all great, determined people. They will make sure that their second home will get everything they need during this harrowing time. lordish |

Nice to hear that news. I flew C130D's with the 109th in the early 80's. Our mission was to supply DEW line sites on Greenland ice Cap, plus other miscellaneous hauling. I'm looking forward to using the liveries mentioned.

Kewlest! There's a D model standing gate guard there now. When I saw the livery for the 109th that was available, I jumped at buying the whole package. Where are you from?, and did you know Col. Apicella? lordish |
